On Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Glenmoor Country Club located in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, the Colorado Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will host a Dinner and Silent Auction, themed Win-Win 4 Warriors; 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).

WWP's vision is to ‘foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.' Their purpose is to: (1) raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members; (2) help injured service members aid and assist each other; and (3) provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. They have assisted more than 325 families, gotten 945 warriors new careers, and resolved more than 5,929 warrior phone and email cases brought to their attention. To learn more about the Wounded Warrior Project and the assistance they have provided, please visit WoundedWarriorProject.org.

The speaker for Win-Win 4 Warriors event will be Rear Admiral (Retired) Richard R. Jeffries, Medical Corps, U.S. Navy, who is a physician and served as the most senior healthcare provider and leader to the Marine Corps for 5 of the last 7 years. He served as the health advisor to the Commandant and Assistant Commandant directly and was the Health Services Director for Headquarters, USMC. He commanded the Navy's premier and our Nation's "President's Hospital" the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD which is now the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In 2005 he augmented the Navy Command supporting U.S. Joint Forces on the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina and asked to lead the Nation's Maritime healthcare efforts.

We hope you can join us, but if not, perhaps you might consider a donation for a wounded warrior's dinner or another amount for the cause or maybe even something of value for the auction. Our wounded warriors are most deserving of our support for the sacrifices they have made in keeping our country safe and our Nation strong. To ensure this event is respectful of our warriors and the event's location, the attire is business, and no demin is allowed.
